Photographer, introvert, professional chaos wrangler, and someone who firmly believes you don't have to know how to pose to have great photos.
I've been behind the camera for 20+ years and somewhere along the way, my love for capturing photos has turned into A Squared Images.
My style is relaxed, natural, and focused on the moments that actually matter. I want the giggles, the goofy faces, the quiet moments, stolen glances, the big personalities, and all the stuff in between. I'm not here to make you or your family look like a catalog. I'm here to capture you.
Whether its family photos, couples, seniors, sports, or those little milestones you know you'll want to remember forever, I'll give you enough direction to feel comfortable without making you feel like you are performing for the camera.
And if the kids dont cooperate? We roll with it!

Do you travel for photoshoots?
Absolutely! I love traveling for sessions! My standard session pricing includes locations up to 40 miles of the Cedar Rapids area. For sessions beyond that, a small travel fee may apply depending on distance, travel time, and whether lodging accommodations are needed.

What should we wear for our session?
The most important thing is that you wear something you feel comfortable, confident, and happy in. When you feel good in what you're wearing, it always shows in your photos!
For outdoor sessions, I do have a few general recommendations to help create a timeless cohesive look:
~Stick with neutral, earthy, or soft tones when possible
~Avoid large logos or overly busy patterns
~Coordinate colors
~Choose outfits that let you move comfortably and naturally
Most importantly I want your session to feel like YOU. If you'd like extra help, im always happy to give outfit guidance and help you narrow down options before your session!
How long does it take to get our photos?
This can vary on the length of service booked. My goal is to have your photos back to you within a week for regular portrait sessions. The longer the session the more photos to edit, the longer the turnaround time. Standard turnaround time is 1 week (2 weeks for holiday minis). I will always be as transparent as I can about timing.
Do you offer albums or prints?
I do not currently as I feel my clients should be able to choose where they order their prints from, but it may be something I offer in the future.
